Independent neighborhood auto shop in Sykesville since 2009. Most of what we do is the work every driver needs — oil changes, brakes, diagnostics, suspension, the everyday stuff that keeps regular cars running. Any make, any model, any year — domestic or import. We also build serious performance work for the GM and classic-American crowd that wants more than stock.
The bulk of our work is the kind every driver eventually needs — maintenance, brakes, diagnostics, the everyday repairs that keep family cars and work trucks on the road. Any make, any model, any year. Domestic or import — if it needs the work, we'll service it.
From mystery noises to check-engine lights, every job starts with a real diagnostic — not a parts cannon.
Modern vehicles speak in codes. We've got the scan tools and the experience to tell sensor faults from real engine problems.
Pads, rotors, calipers, struts, ball joints, tie rods. Inspect the whole system, replace what's worn, leave what isn't.
Mount, balance, rotate, four-wheel align. Uneven wear is almost always trying to tell you something — we listen.
Oil, fluids, filters, belts, hoses. The boring stuff that keeps the expensive stuff from breaking. Done while you wait.
Recharges, compressor work, blend-door fixes. Full evac-and-fill service for cars old enough to have switched refrigerants.
Most independent shops will swap your fluid and farm out the rest. We don't. Fluid and filter service, leak diagnosis, slipping or shifting issues, valve body repair, full rebuilds and replacements when it comes to that. Automatic and manual.
Roughly one in every five jobs we take on is a project car or a performance build. We specialize in late-model GM and classic American iron — and we bring the same standards to a cam swap or full build as we do to anything else in the bay. If you've got a project, we'd love to talk through it.
Camaro, Corvette, Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Suburban, CTS-V — we live in these every day. LS-platform diagnostics, GM-specific scan tools, factory-spec repairs, and the deep-cuts knowledge that only comes from working the same platform for years.
Carbureted, points-ignition, manual-everything classics get the same care as anything modern in the bay. Engine work, brake conversions, electrical sorting, drivetrain rebuilds, and the patient diagnostic time these cars deserve.
Bolt-ons, cam swaps, long-tube headers, intake and exhaust work, suspension and brake upgrades, full performance builds. Done right means done with the supporting mods — fueling, cooling, drivetrain — so what you build holds up to what you ask of it.
Dave Brodsky opened the doors in 2009 with a simple idea — that your neighborhood mechanic ought to be someone you can shake hands with. Seventeen years later, that's still how we run.
Most of what walks into the bay is everyday repair — daily drivers, family cars, work trucks. Any make, any model, any year. Domestic or import, gas or diesel, your wife's minivan or your kid's first beater — if it needs maintenance or repair, we're your shop.
Where we go deeper is the project-car work — late-model GM, '60s and '70s muscle, cam swaps, performance builds, the occasional restoration. Maybe one in five jobs at any given time, but it's the work we love and the kind of conversation we'll happily have when you're stopping by to pick up your CR-V.
Most of our work comes by referral. Most of our customers we know by first name. We're not the biggest shop in Carroll County and we don't want to be — we want to be the one you'd send your buddy to with his project car.
If we can fix it cheaper, we'll tell you. If it's not worth fixing, we'll tell you that too. If we did the work, we stand behind it.
"Dave runs the kind of shop you thought didn't exist anymore — fair price, straight answer, and the work gets done."

This isn't an instant-booking system — and that's intentional. A quick diagnostic often turns into more once we get under the hood, and we'd rather have a real conversation about your appointment than promise a slot we can't keep.
Send us the details below. Dave or someone from the shop will call you back within one business day to set up a time that works for both of us.
